19 Aug '21 Jammy & The Dodgers Brewhouse, Cardiff I love this gig! A lovely way to spend a Thursday night, if you're into hearing a really thoughtful collection of songs, executed by a properly talented trio of guitar, bass and drums. On Saturday pub gigs, you have to choose the obvious songs - but when it's a Thursday, we can dip into some different moods and play more what we feel - and it always goes down a treat!
20 Aug '21 Nancy Ackroyd Band The Roundhouse, Vale of Glamorgan A chance to experience a beautiful band I became involved with in between lockdowns. Nancy Ackroyd is a sublime singer-songwriter based in The Vale of Glamorgan. Her debut album 'Written on the Inside' was recorded at the Roundhouse in 2020. Here's a chance to see her perform songs from the album, at the location it was recorded; with truly beautiful accompaniment by Beth Whelan on cello and vocals; and some slapping, shaking and occasional squawking from myself too. Tickets will be limited, and might only be available through personal enquiry - give me a shout if you want to come and I'll put you in touch with Nancy!
29 Aug '21 PENDEVIG Shrewsbury Folk Festival I'm so excited to see Pendevig raise its head again! Forming, rehearsing, then recording and performing with this band in 2018 was one of the most challenging and rewarding projects I've ever taken part in. If you haven't come across Pendevig, it's a fifteen-ish-piece Welsh Folk/Trad supergroup - check out the videos on this site then come dance your socks off at Shrewsbury! SFF is a brilliant festival all round too, there's always loads of good stuff to see there.

15 Oct '21 Sneaky Weasels Brewhouse, Cardiff These lads are bonkers! :-D I'd love to tell you what songs we'll be playing, but I won't know myself til they start them. Will it be Eagles next, or The Mad Stuntman? Pina Colada or Pony? Heavenly harmonies or heavy hip-hop? What I can tell you is, you'll have a blast! The eclectic performance belies some weighty musical talent - come and enjoy the ride!
23 Oct '21 Jamie Smith's MABON Crickhowell MABON started a big fat farewell tour in March 2020, and was due to retire that autumn. Aye, well, we know what happened to 2020! So here's a handful of last shows, just to let people see the band one last time. The musicians have moved on to pastures new, but are all relishing the prospect of a real last blast of banter and badass biddly! Six concerts: a tiny little nod to the end of an era in my career. When it's gone... it's really gone.
